How we investigate, report, and protect your voice
EU Money Monitor is Europe’s first citizen-powered accountability platform.
We investigate the misuse of EU funds and hold institutions to account with one rule above all: facts only.
Our journalism is driven by evidence, rooted in law, and guided by ethics.
This is not defamation. This is the public’s right to know how public money is spent.
📜 1. Our legal basis
We operate under:
Article 10 of the European Convention on Human Rights: freedom of expression and the right to receive and impart information.
Article 11 of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights: freedom of expression and media.
European jurisprudence on public interest journalism: especially regarding corruption, misuse of funds, and institutional failure.
All reporting is backed by documentation, first-person records, or third-party audits.
🧭 2. Editorial principles
We follow three rules:
Verify everything before publishing.
Offer right of reply to all institutions or individuals before publication.
Correct any errors promptly and transparently.
We are not neutral. We are independent. We investigate what others overlook — and we do so without fear and without bias.
🛡️ 3. Defamation protection
To avoid any defamatory risk:
We do not accuse individuals of crimes unless legally charged or convicted.
Satirical names or character composites are used where appropriate to protect legal identity.
Every statement is backed by internal or public documentation, whistleblower material, or audit evidence.
All responses from institutions are recorded and acknowledged.
This is not whistleblowing. This is journalism.
This is not opinion. This is public interest reporting.
✉️ 4. Share information safely
Want to share something? This is a safe space. We use anonymous forms and secure email for anyone who wants to report misconduct or submit leads.

We are accountable to our readers.
If you spot a factual error, email: [[email protected]]
We will review, update, or retract when required — and we’ll say so publicly.
⚖️ 6. Legal contact
If you are a legal representative or institution seeking to respond, contact:

Please include relevant documentation and we will respond within 7 working days.
🎭 7. Use of satire and character composites
Some articles on this platform use satire and fictionalized names for illustrative purposes. These are used to represent systemic patterns in a vivid and accessible way, not to accuse individuals of specific crimes.
No personal allegation is made unless supported by official documentation or legal process.
